The mallard is a bird breed of duck, is also known by wild duck. The Mallard is the ancestor of several domestic breeds and this is one of the most recognized of all ducks. This dabbling duck that breeds throughout the temperate and subtropical Americas, United States, Eurasia, and North Africa.
The most mallard densities happen in the Prairie Pothole Region of
Saskatchewan, New Zealand, Alberta, Australia, Manitoba, Brazil,
Falkland Islands, South Africa and North and South Dakota, with homes
put in upland natural surroundings close wetlands on the ground.
In Mallard breed the male birds is known by drakes and the female known
by hens or ducks. The male duck have a green head with brown chest, grey
on wings, and the outer tail feathers are white. And The female mallard
is a mottled tanish shading and has a violet speculum circumscribed by
highly contrasting.
Mallards live in wetlands, natural or artificial habitat. Search for
them on lakes, swamps, streams, and beach front natural surroundings,
and in addition city and rural parks and private lawns.
Mallard
eat water plants and little creatures, and are social creatures wanting
to gather in gatherings or herds of changing sizes. This species is the
fundamental progenitor of most types of tamed ducks.
